Flowers and photography at Chateau de St Paul
Last week I travelled to SW France to co-host a floral photography retreat with Tanya of La Fleur Blanche Blooms. Tanya and husband Dag grow flowers on an organic farm near Bergerac. The stunning Chateau de St Paul. was the location. With it’s medieval history, a private chapel and pretty rose clad walls, it was an inspiring location to host our luxury retreat. Ten inspiring women from all over the world joined us for a blissful four days.

Escape, unwind and focus on your creativity on a retreat
My floral photography retreats are designed for anyone who wants to step off the treadmill and find time to focus on elevating their floral photography. You can bring a DSLR or camera phone. Whether you enjoy still life photography, capturing flowers for your floristry portfolio or just spending time with like minded individuals. On this retreat we had photographers, florists, gardeners and artists treating themselves to creative time out in a beautiful setting. The program is relaxed with floral demos and gentle guidance on both photography and floral design from me.
The perfect backdrop for Floral photography
I always like to let the flowers do the talking in my photography and Chateau de St Paul with it’s beautiful doors, elegant courtyards and neutral stone walls was perfect. The chapel, set in the grounds with it’s shadowy corners provided a good backdrop to try different camera settings, styling and composition.
