A Floral Retreat in the Loire Valley
I am so excited to share details of a creative retreat in the Loire valley this summer hosted by artisan floral designer Chloé Le Berre of Les Ephemeres . Set in the picturesque French Manor house Le Manoir de la Massonniere, it will be an inspiring, nourishing escape crafted to rekindle your love of floral design.
When : 26th June to 1st July
I am thrilled to be asked by Chloé to photograph this six day luxury retreat from 26 June to 1 July. She has a romantic, naturalistic style inspired by English gardens and the wilderness of the French countryside. Her approach to floral design aligns with my own way of working with the seasons. She and landscape designer husband Hugo, grow many of the flowers we will use at the retreat from their nearby farmhouse. The enchanting gardens at Le Massonniere will also be ours to explore and enjoy throughout the retreat. Over several days you can relax, unwind and rediscover your love of floral design in this tranquil setting.
Chloé and Hugo share a passion for design and already run bespoke artisan workshops in France. They share their love of the slow flower movement and seasonally led floral design. Natural Dying Studio
Doriane Changot will be joining us to share her knowledge of hand dyeing, respecting the principals of seasonality and sustainable harvesting. Together we will gather ferns, nettle and brambles to discover the magic of hand dying with Doriane of Maison Septembre
What to expect
The retreat is designed to be relaxed so you can explore your own creativity and truly flourish in beautiful surroundings. Together, we shall create romantic garden arches, exquisite compote bowls and abundant bouquets. I will be photographing throughout the retreat and will help you capture your work in and around the chateau gardens. Chloé will guide you through her way of designing whilst letting you explore your own creativity. This is the perfect opportunity to escape the routine of daily life and reconnect with nature and your love of floral design.
